Statements in a Video Conference with Production Units
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Thanks be to God, the Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad and his pure family, especially the Awaited One on earth.
The program that friends have arranged today was very sweet and attractive. I express my gratitude to those who organized the program and took on the efforts, as well as to the esteemed managers and other dear ones who reported. The reports were very good, and I insist that these reports be published. I request that it not be limited to the publication of our remarks, but that everything expressed by friends, esteemed managers, respected workers, officials of executive bodies, and executors be broadcasted and made available to the people so that they can benefit; this will certainly impact the public perception of the future of work and effort in the country.
I first congratulate all workers on Workers' Week and hope that with the discussions and actions taken during this week and these days, some of the problems faced by the hardworking class of workers will, God willing, be resolved; because there are problems, and one of our important issues is addressing the problems of the working community, which we must pay attention to. I will mention two points here: a few sentences regarding worker issues and a little about the discussion of "production leap," which is this year's slogan.
The concept of "work" in Islam: in general and in specific economic terms Work in Islam is recognized in two meanings: both work in a general sense, which includes spiritual, worldly, otherworldly, economic, intellectual, physical, bodily work, and in total, work means action; and work in a specific economic sense, which today is presented in its special meaning in the world; both meanings of work are addressed in Islam.
However, in that first meaning, which is general, "man has nothing but what he strives for," as mentioned in the verse recited at the beginning of this noble gathering, or as Amir al-Mu'minin said: "Work, work; then the end, the end." Work, work; this is the slogan of Amir al-Mu'minin: work, work; and then "the end"; meaning bringing work to completion. One of our problems is that we sometimes start work but leave it unfinished. Today, one of our issues in the country is our unfinished projects; not bringing work to completion is one of the flaws in our work. Here, Amir al-Mu'minin emphasizes work and bringing work to completion. Therefore, this general meaning of work is not specific to its economic meaning; it encompasses practical work, religious work, worldly work, collective work, political work, and jihadist work; this action includes all kinds of work; as you see in the Quran, "They did righteous deeds" is repeated so much; "those who believe and do righteous deeds"; regarding "action" in the Quran, it has been repeatedly mentioned.
Demanding the results of work and avoiding idleness Well, here the emphasis on this meaning of work is the opposite of idleness. That is, we should pay attention to the fact that we should not expect to receive something for free; whether in terms of religious matters and the rewards of the hereafter, or in terms of worldly matters, or in the realm of important national issues, political issues, social issues, we must work, we must pursue work, and we must demand the results of work; idleness and seeking free handouts are wrong; thus, the emphasis on action in this sense is due to this characteristic.
And the emphasis on work in the second meaning - which is economic - is also addressed in Islam. The fact that the Prophet Muhammad takes the worker's hand and kisses it is very significant. Or the Prophet Muhammad says, "But God loves a servant who, when he does a deed, does it well"; God Almighty loves the one who performs work and does it firmly and accurately, with a sense of responsibility. Therefore, in Islam, the concept of work is addressed in both meanings, but today I will mention a few sentences regarding this second meaning.
The goal of the country's economy; producing wealth and distributing it fairly among the people Well, what is the goal of the economy of the country? The goal of the economy is to produce wealth and distribute it fairly. A healthy economy is one that can produce wealth in the country and distribute it correctly and fairly among all the people of the country; this economy is a healthy economy.
The worker; one of the primary factors in wealth production To achieve this healthy economy, there are two or three main pillars; one main pillar is the worker; therefore, one of the primary factors in producing wealth in the country is the worker; of course, the more skilled, innovative, and creative the worker is - as seen in today's report where workers demonstrated creativity, innovation, and skill - the better and higher the results of work will be. Thus, one of our duties regarding labor issues is to enhance the knowledge and skills of our human resources; this is one of the duties that I have seen some economic enterprises are paying attention to, as mentioned in their reports. One of the duties of economic enterprises is to enhance and elevate the knowledge and skills of the existing workforce; this can yield desirable results.
On the opposite side, the worker, of course, with greater skill and a greater sense of responsibility - which that sense of responsibility is the same as "doing it well" or "doing it accurately" in the narration - must perform work diligently, accurately, and correctly, without negligence; this is a shared responsibility between the worker and the employer.
Increasing production; contingent upon genuine mutual cooperation between labor and investors A genuine mutual cooperation between labor and the investor, which is commonly referred to as the employer, can increase production and added value; a joint cooperation from both the worker and the employer or investor. The labor force and the worker should increase their skills, their sense of responsibility, their precision, and work with greater responsibility, while the employer should also increase the share of the labor force from the profits of the economic enterprise; this is one of the necessary things.
I have seen friends complaining about some regulations where the views of workers have not been considered. Very well, these regulations must be set with a fair perspective, and the officials of the enterprises should pay attention to this point. Therefore, in the policies of resistance economy, we have said the same thing, meaning the cooperation of these two; in this case, both the worker and the employer together form the main pillar of creating economic growth and progress.
One of the points regarding workers and on the occasion of Workers' Week that is good to emphasize is the issue of respecting the rights of the labor force. The natural rights of the labor force must be respected; that is, fair wages, timely and uninterrupted payments, job stability, meaning job security, which I have emphasized in previous years as one of the very important issues. Some gentlemen who spoke mentioned that no worker has been laid off during this period; this is very good, a very good approach; job security. The issue of insurance, the issue of training, the issue of welfare services, the issue of health and treatment, these are things that are part of the rights of workers and are the natural duties of the employer. Of course, if more attention is given to the worker, such as considering the needs of the family or the education of children or marriage and similar matters, it will certainly have a greater impact on the relationship and healing between the worker and the employer, which is a blessed and good matter.
Training; one of the necessities for industrial, agricultural, and economic enterprises On this occasion, I would like to mention that in the current world, technological transformations are instantaneous - if that is not an exaggerated expression - meaning these transformations are happening rapidly; therefore, since these technological transformations are continuous, one of the necessities for industrial and agricultural enterprises and economic enterprises is continuous learning; now this learning means both educational learning and experiential learning. Sometimes those who have work experience provide benefits for their next generation that are greater than those from new educational training. For example, consider the agricultural family that reported from Khorasan; undoubtedly, the benefit that the third generation has gained from new knowledge and information is not less than the benefit gained from the experience of their parents and the experience of two generations before them. Therefore, both knowledge should be utilized, and the experience of skilled forces should be utilized.
Improving the quality of work and economic prosperity is contingent upon enhancing labor productivity Another point is that if labor productivity is enhanced, the quality of work will also improve. This educational issue that we mentioned, if realized - which will naturally lead to greater labor productivity - the cost of work will decrease, which will certainly enhance quality; when quality improves, competitiveness increases, and economic prosperity arises, especially in the field of exports.
The permanent bond between the Islamic Republic system and workers Another point regarding workers is that in the past two centuries, workers have been influential in the political arena. Everywhere in the world; both in Europe and in other countries, workers have been influential in the political arena. In our country, workers have been truly influential. In the victory of the revolution - as mentioned at the beginning of this session - workers, especially those from the oil company and some other areas, truly had an impact on the progress of the revolution.
Then, during the Islamic Republic, one of the best classes in supporting the goals of the Islamic Republic has been the workers; whether during the Sacred Defense or in subsequent periods and in various events, workers have always been at the forefront, striving, working for the benefit of the system, and serving the system. Therefore, the bond between the Islamic Republic system and workers is a permanent bond, and we hope that, God willing, this bond will continue; and this, of course, increases the responsibilities of the system's officials towards workers; and everyone has numerous responsibilities towards the working community; from various officials in the three branches to the general public, employers, and owners of industries and agricultural areas.
A suitable opportunity to act on the slogan of "production leap" Regarding the production leap; well, we have declared this year as the year of "production leap"; we are now in Ordibehesht (May), still at the beginning of the year, meaning there is an opportunity and possibility for a genuine production leap to take place this year; that is, we are not pressed for time. There is a very good opportunity now - ten or eleven months remain - various devices can fulfill their duties that lead to the production leap, God willing. Therefore, I will mention a few points regarding the production leap:
Production; as the defensive and security system of the economy First, we have talked a lot about production; I have spoken a lot, and responsible individuals who are concerned and interested have said so. I want to say that production can be likened to the immune and defensive system of the body; these days, with the issue of Corona also being raised, the role of the body's defense system in confronting viruses, microbes, and health-threatening invaders is very important. This Corona virus undoubtedly entered many bodies, but they did not get sick; why? Because they had a good, healthy defense system that could defend and ensure the safety of the body. If we liken the economy of the country to a human body, the defensive and security system of the economy is production; that is, what can neutralize the invading viruses and microbes to the economy and keep it healthy is production in the country. If we always have good, appropriate, and growing production in the country, we can resist against these viruses that naturally exist - which unfortunately our economy is afflicted with numerous natural microbes and viruses; there are also man-made viruses, such as sanctions, like the issue of oil prices; these are events that harm the economy - we can resist.
The issue of production has an extraordinarily influential role in this way, which must be considered important and attended to. If we can ensure this defensive and safety system of the economy's body and keep it prepared from all aspects, undoubtedly these problems, these various international shocks and economic shocks will not be able to inflict significant and serious damage to the country.
The vital role of production in the economy and public self-confidence Well, production can form a strong national economy in the country; that is, in building a strong economy, production plays the primary role; it has an undeniable vital impact on managing the country. As I perceive, in my opinion, the issue of production is not just an economic issue; of course, production is vital for the economy; domestic production is vital for the country and a healthy economy, but it is not just that. Production politically gives a country self-confidence, makes the nation feel dignity. When the nation feels that its needs are met within its own country by itself, it is a source of dignity and pride for a nation; rather than seeing that whatever they need, they must obtain from others; they must beg others for it; sometimes others give it, sometimes they do not; and they provide various types; that is, sometimes they provide the good ones, sometimes the bad ones; that is, when a nation can be a producer and provider of its own needs, it gives them self-confidence, it gives them a sense of dignity; thus, you see that the issue of production has dimensions beyond mere economic dimensions. In addition to that, production can affect all economic indicators of the country; that is, production can impact various indicators such as gross domestic product, the issue of employment - which is a very important issue - the issue of supply of goods and services, the issue of public welfare, the issue of exports, and the intellectual and cultural impact that exports can have. Moreover, as we mentioned, domestic production is a source of national pride, it gives individuals in society self-confidence, and so on. Therefore, what more can one say about the importance of production? Domestic production is truly vital for the country.
Well, now we said production leap; why do we say production leap? Because we are lagging behind in production. The works that friends mentioned have been done are very prominent and good works, but they are not enough, and we need to develop production further and strengthen production and advance production more, and now I will mention points in this regard.
The engine of the country's economy runs on public participation The first point is that we must understand that even the strongest governments cannot start the engine of the economy without public participation; no government can organize the economy of the country without public participation. Some ideological, political, and economic mechanisms, like certain types of socialism - of course not all types of socialism - have tried to make governments responsible for economic work [but] have failed. It is impossible, and without public participation, no government will be able to organize the economy of the country and start the engine of the economy. Therefore, one of our important issues must be to bring the talents of the people, the initiatives of the people, and the various capacities of the people into the field of the country's economy.
The duties of the government in the production leap: 1) Support and remove obstacles Well, while this work is the work of the people, the government also has important duties. When we say government, we mean the three branches, not just the executive branch; that is, both the executive branch, the legislative branch, and the judiciary branch, as the government of the Islamic Republic, have duties that are important; among these duties - if these duties are not fulfilled by the government and the officials of the country, the production leap will not occur - is that the government must support production and producers.
In one sentence, this can be summarized as: government support. Well, what does this support mean? Some think that when we say "support," it means injecting liquidity. Well, yes, in some cases, injecting financial resources may be necessary [but] in some cases, it is harmful. The meaning of support is not merely injecting financial resources but opening the field. If we consider the labor force, the investor, the engineer, the thinker, and the worker as a fast runner, you do not need to teach them what to do; they have the enthusiasm and desire to move. You just need to open the field, remove the obstacles, level the ground, and allow them to carry out their movement. If this work is done by the government - which is very important, and I will refer to some examples of it - then this movement will take place correctly. Therefore, when we say support, we mean removing obstacles. Removing obstacles like what? Like removing cumbersome regulations. Some regulations have no benefit and are harmful; the existence of these regulations prevents the productive and effective economic apparatus from doing its work.
2 and 3) Fighting smuggling, and seriously prohibiting excessive imports One of the supports that is very important is fighting smuggling; that is, smuggling is truly a plague for the country that must be fought against in the true sense of the word.
One of the necessary actions is to seriously prohibit excessive imports. I have emphasized the issue of imports so much; yet, one still sees that for various excuses, imports take place in some areas. We receive letters and complaints; one agency says that we have produced this device with great effort at half the price, at one-third the price, [but] a certain government agency that needs this device goes and contracts with a foreign producer and imports it; well, this should not happen. If this happens in some important cases, it should be called a crime, a betrayal. Of course, this is not always the case, and sometimes it happens out of negligence, but sometimes it is truly a crime and betrayal.
4) Fighting administrative and financial corruption One of the supports is serious fighting against financial corruption. You see, these agencies that reported today - and hundreds of agencies like them - are working economically with integrity in the country. If you want those who are doing healthy economic work to reach their goals, you must seriously fight against those who advance work through corruption, bribery, and embezzlement. Corruption must be fought against; both administrative corruption, meaning corruption of someone in the government apparatus related to economic issues, and corruption of someone in production and economic activity.
One of the issues is serious confrontation with administrative sabotage. I know; over these many years, we have repeatedly observed that the head of an agency, the senior manager of an agency, with full interest and sincerity is pursuing something, wants to do a job, but that job does not get done; orders are given, meetings are held, actions are taken, but the output is zero; the reason is that sabotage occurs in the middle. The very fact that Amir al-Mu'minin said, "Then the end, the end," means this; that is, merely being a manager of an agency and being interested is not enough; you must follow up on the work to prevent sabotage in the middle of the way.
5, 6, and 7) Respecting property rights, avoiding harmful speculation, tax exemptions or imposition An important issue is respecting property rights, which is the duty of the judiciary branch. An important issue is avoiding assistance to harmful speculation and gambling, which requires necessary laws and pertains to the Islamic Consultative Assembly; they must ensure that such speculation is not assisted in the laws they enact, but rather that correct activities are supported. In some cases, tax exemptions are necessary, just as in some cases, imposing taxes is necessary; like on windfall profits. Now, of course, I do not want to enumerate here; there are many cases and professions that acquire windfall profits without paying taxes; specific taxes must be imposed on them. Conversely, in some cases, taxes should be eliminated or reduced. In many production cases, assistance should be provided to them. Therefore, real support for production, which we said the government must support, includes these things and similar matters.
And you have seen in the case of Corona, fortunately, the government supported the people, meaning they opened the field. If the government had said, "Anyone who wants to produce this mask must come and get permission from us," just this small action would have been enough to prevent mask production in the country; [but] they opened the field and said anyone can produce masks. Thus, agencies produced, factories produced, the Executive Headquarters produced, the Foundation of the Oppressed produced, people produced at home, produced in mosques; it has reached a point where we now have more masks than needed in the country and can give them to others; this was because the government removed the obstacles. If such actions are taken in various sectors, it will undoubtedly help.
Improving the business environment The third point is the issue of improving the business environment; I have repeatedly emphasized this issue of improving the business environment, and the things I just mentioned regarding support, reducing regulations, and so on, are indeed manifestations of improving the business environment. I have seen expert analyses that were conveyed to me, which were sent from the Ministry of Economy to our office; with the expert analyses they conducted, they say that if two actions are taken in economic matters, the country's ranking in terms of the business index will rise by forty to fifty ranks; experts from the Ministry of Economy say this.
One of these two actions is "creating a single-window for issuing permits"; at times, I mentioned in a meeting with friends in this government, two or three years ago - I do not remember exactly - that someone who wants to obtain a permit for an economic activity, in my opinion, has to refer to about thirty or forty places to obtain a permit; at that time, a task that should be completed in one day takes six months or sometimes does not get done at all. One of the two actions is: creating a single-window for issuing permits; that is, all agencies should gather in one place, and someone who wants [a permit] should be able to obtain it within half a day and shorten the time and go pursue their work.
The second is "establishing commercial courts to resolve economic disputes," which also pertains to the judiciary branch; it has been said that if these two actions are taken, the country's ranking in terms of the business environment will rise by forty or fifty ranks; well, these are important.
Prohibition of excessive imports The fourth point is the issue of prohibiting excessive imports, which I previously mentioned. [Of course] we are not against imports; everyone knows this; what we oppose is that imports [of goods] that are either produced in the country or can be produced in the country; I want to say this; not just those that are produced [but also] those that can be produced. That is, we can help the active and innovative force inside the country to start this work by preventing imports. If this work is done, in my opinion, it will greatly assist them.
Sometimes executive agencies open the way for imports unnecessarily under various pretexts; for example, when it is said why you allowed foreign cars to come in this way, they say, "Oh, competition." I say, well, if you want to improve quality through competition, focus your efforts on improving quality in another way; otherwise, you will subject domestic production to double losses because you want to improve quality, which is absolutely wrong. The production leap means both a quantitative leap and, of course, a qualitative leap, each of which has its own paths; you will not achieve this through imports. Some, of course, have other motives, which sometimes lead to domestic production being severely harmed due to excessive imports, of which we have numerous examples; there are those who refer to us, of course, we refer these to various agencies and follow up to ensure that it is realized. Therefore, the next point was also the issue of prohibiting imports of goods that are produced in the country or can be produced.
The necessity of a quantitative leap accompanied by a qualitative leap The next issue is the issue of qualitative leaps that we mentioned; this is also an important principle. If we have a quantitative leap, but do not have a qualitative leap, we will not progress; that is, if there is no qualitative leap, we will remain stagnant in domestic consumption; that is, when the domestic consumer sees that domestic products lack quality, they will naturally be drawn towards foreign products; when there is a consumer, an importer will inevitably and without doubt exist, and the government may not be able to prevent it. We must ensure that the domestic consumer is convinced that this quality is desirable quality. Fortunately, many of our products today are like this; that is, the quality of domestic industrial products in various sectors - which I do not want to name the sectors now, but we know and recognize the various sectors - is better than foreign products, and at the same time, there are imports in these [goods]. Therefore, the issue of a leap in quality is also very important; this affects domestic consumption and has a compounded effect on export consumption; that is, if we want our goods to be competitive abroad, we must raise the quality, and this is a very important issue. This is also a point.
The necessity of increasing hope for work and effort The next point is that we must increase hope for work and effort in the country day by day. When I say this program should be broadcasted so that people can see, it is because a number of people are constantly whispering dangerous and harmful things into the ears of the people that it is of no use, we cannot, it is impossible; while it is possible, we can accomplish many great tasks. You see, I want to say that when we can produce a satellite launcher of this quality that can move at a speed of 7500 meters per second - that is, seven and a half kilometers in one second - when we can place our satellite in the desired orbit, then we should be able to accomplish many other tasks as well. The person who today produces this satellite launcher and sends this satellite into space, this same person, this same intention, this same hand will be able to, in a few moments, send this satellite to the 36,000-kilometer orbit that we desire; we want the satellite to reach the 36,000-kilometer orbit; this will definitely happen, this possibility certainly exists.
That is, the same intention, the same effort, the same hand that today brings [the satellite] to a distance of, for example, 400 kilometers or 450 kilometers will be able to bring it to 36,000 kilometers tomorrow. That is, when there is hope, when there is a sense of progress, when there is a sense of capability, this will happen; this is my point. Now some say, for example, "Oh! Your expression of happiness that you launched a satellite or so on does not mean that [the country will gain security]. Satellites and weapons and such cannot provide security for the country, and the main issues are economic." Well, we know these works, we know these words, it is not that we do not understand this. My point is: I say when we can make such a significant move in the military sector or, for example, in the field of launching space satellites, why can we not produce a car that consumes, for example, five liters of gasoline per hundred kilometers? We should not remain stuck in a car that consumes, for example, twelve liters or ten liters or eight liters. That is, when this capability exists within us, this spirit of innovation exists within us, it will exist in all sectors of the country; both in the industrial sector and in various other sectors such as agriculture and services. This is our point.
Prioritizing leading sectors The next point is that in this production leap, some sectors are leading sectors, and priority should be given to them. I have mentioned several sectors here: for example, in the oil sector, developing refining capacity; such as the condensate refinery that was inaugurated in Bandar Abbas and has subsequent stages that will certainly bring more wealth to the country. Or the Siraf refinery complex that was mentioned, which is an important complex and will have significant impacts. Or implementing petrochemical projects that, if these projects are completed - as I have been informed - the product will increase from 50 million tons to 100 million tons, then to 130 million tons, and its value will triple; this is a very important issue. Especially in the current conditions of the country and the need for currency, this will certainly be of great value. Or in agricultural projects to increase self-sufficiency in essential products; one of the things that must be done in the agricultural sector is to pursue self-sufficiency in essential products; yes, sometimes the price of buying wheat [may be cheaper]; of course, today this is not the case, but there was a time when the price of buying wheat from abroad was cheaper for the country than producing it; however, even in those conditions, production takes priority, just as they do in the world; that is, they do not allow their country to be dependent on wheat from abroad. For example, consider today’s elements of the evil United States that have prohibited certain things; we came and the opposite side prohibited it; well, they do it; you must be able to manage the country. Therefore, essential products must be produced and self-sufficiency must be achieved within the country. Of course, today we do not have a water problem, thanks be to God. There was a time when they constantly said there was no water and we had a water shortage; fortunately, today we do not have a water shortage, both in terms of rain-fed and irrigated cultivation. Therefore, we must pursue essential products, such as wheat, oilseeds, medicinal plants, fodder, and aquaculture; these are things that we must certainly pursue; also in agriculture, modern irrigation, watershed management, and aquifer management, and similar matters are also among the noteworthy sectors and are part of the leading sectors.
Another leading sector that requires special attention is infrastructure. Well, thanks be to God, the country today is very advanced in terms of infrastructure; that is, today in terms of the country’s infrastructure, such as ports, roads, highways, dams, and so on, our situation is not at all comparable to before the revolution, and its progress is extraordinary; however, at the same time, we still need, we still need infrastructure; such as ports, electricity, transportation, and especially rail transportation, which is very, very important.
Another leading sector is the issue of parts manufacturing, which fortunately was also present in today’s reports. Sometimes a large machine is halted due to a small part that we must import from abroad, for example. We must work on the issue of parts manufacturing in various sectors. Now, the report that was given was mainly related to automotive parts, but in all parts of all large machines and devices, parts manufacturing is a very important issue.
Or the issue of the mining sector, where we are very behind, and one of the sectors that certainly needs to be focused on is the mining sector; or the pharmaceutical and vaccine sector, where I have heard that fortunately good work has been done in producing medicine for this new virus or research for vaccines is being conducted. Now, the world advertises that vaccines will not be available for a certain period - for a year, for six months, some say for a certain period - it is not certain; our good scientists, our young scientists, our efficient researchers sit down and work on the vaccine for this Corona virus and the production of various vaccines; it is possible that they will achieve the vaccine much sooner than others and be able to use it. This is one of the important sectors.
Or the clothing, footwear, and household goods chain, which is also among the leading issues, and the country, fortunately, has many capabilities in this area; however, despite the fact that we have historically been among the leading countries in clothing and have had very good and numerous capabilities, in footwear likewise, and in household goods, we have made significant progress over the years, unfortunately, the issue of imports here is detrimental; in my opinion, in these sectors, imports must be strictly prevented, and this sector should also be regarded as a leading and important sector. And fortunately, we see that in the past one or two years, that is, in 2019 and also in 2018, when we needed a number of boys' and girls' jackets; I said do not buy from the market at all, have them made, produced, sewn. They went and procured the fabric, found the tailor, produced some amounts; it was certainly better than the foreign varieties; that is, more beautiful, sturdier, and better. Well, this is being produced domestically; when we can produce it domestically, why import it from abroad? I had two jackets that I sometimes used when going to the mountains, these were foreign and were souvenirs brought for me; I gave them away and said to procure from these domestic ones.
Now, I should also say that unfortunately, our domestic clothing production, which has a longstanding and deep-rooted history in the country and is very good, has this major flaw that they falsely label foreign brands on it; this is wrong. The same jacket that I mentioned was bought for me, I saw that something was written on it that it was produced abroad, which was a lie; we knew the tailor, we knew who made it and when it was made, and we said to remove that label. Therefore, one of the leading sectors is also this clothing production sector.
Utilizing innovative and ready-to-work youth for a leap and double movement Therefore, the movement of production in the country has, thank God, begun; but I want to say this: we will not reach anywhere with ordinary movement; a leap is necessary, a double movement is necessary; and fortunately, the ground for this double movement exists in the country. There are very good innovative elements, eager-to-work youth in the country; we can utilize their existence and truly leap production, and the production leap will be able to revive the economy of the country.
I once again thank those who worked hard today to organize this program and those who spoke and reported, and also all those who are active in economic matters. I hope that, God willing, by the blessing of the pure prayers of our dear people during the blessed month of Ramadan, fundamental and important transformations will take place in the necessary sectors of the country, including the economic sector. And with the situation that arose in the case of this Corona virus and the people being shaken, a new and extraordinary situation has emerged - these closures, these needs, these provisions, these cooperations that, in the true sense of the word, were very valuable - we hope that, God willing, this will itself be a beginning and a starting point for new and innovative works and transformations in various fields, including the economic field; and may God assist, bless, and answer prayers. We also pray for all the officials and managers and activists in various sectors of the country, whether in economic sectors, cultural sectors, and various other sectors. We hope that, God willing, God grants success to all of them and encompasses them with His grace, mercy, and blessings. I once again thank all of you and extend my greetings and regards to the pure soul of Imam Khomeini (may his soul be sanctified) and the dear martyrs.
Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings.
