Statements After Casting Votes in the Twelfth Majlis and the Sixth Assembly of Experts
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
We ask the Almighty God to make today a blessed day for the people of Iran, and may the results of the efforts of our dear people and those involved in various election matters, God willing, reach desirable outcomes and be in favor of the Iranian nation. I have two recommendations to present, after which I will respond to the journalist's question.
My first recommendation to our dear people is that the Quran has told us: 'So race towards good deeds' (Surah Al-Ma'idah, part of verse 48); compete in good works and surpass others. I have said this in past elections, and I emphasize today that you should take advantage of this opportunity as soon as possible, and in the very first hours, go and cast your vote in the ballot boxes.
My second recommendation is that in each constituency, vote for the necessary number for that constituency; do not vote for less than required. For example, in Tehran for the Assembly of Experts, it is necessary to vote for sixteen individuals; vote for sixteen, not less. Or in Tehran for the Islamic Consultative Assembly, you must vote for thirty individuals; vote for thirty; do not vote for less. This is my emphatic recommendation.
Our dear nation should know that today, many people around the world, both ordinary individuals and political figures and holders of reputable national and political positions, are watching Iran; their eyes are on you; they want to see what you do in this election and what the result of your election will be; both our friends and those who are interested in the Iranian nation, as well as the enemies; they are all watching. Eyes are focused on our country and the issues of our dear nation. Pay attention to this. Make your friends happy and disappoint your enemies.
As for the answer to his question about my last words to the undecided, my last word is that 'in good deeds, there is no need for divination.'
Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings.
