Appointment of Ayatollahs Jannati, Khazali, and Rezvani to the Guardian Council

Esteemed Ayatollahs, Hajj Sheikh Ahmad Jannati, Hajj Sheikh Abolghasem Khazali, Hajj Sheikh Gholamreza Rezvani (may their blessings continue)

In accordance with Article 91 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the Guardian Council, which is established to protect the sacred laws of Islam and the Constitution and to ensure that the resolutions of the Islamic Consultative Assembly do not contradict them, and considering that the appointment of the jurists of this council is the responsibility of the Supreme Leader, and given that the term of office of the esteemed gentlemen, who were appointed by the decree of Imam Khomeini (may his soul be sanctified), the great and noble leader, will end on 26/4/71, I hereby reappoint the esteemed gentlemen to membership in the aforementioned council. I pray to Almighty God for the increasing success of the gentlemen.
